Dublin law firm Caytons Law has changed its name to Caytons as of Sunday 1 March 2020.  This coincides with the simultaneous conversion to LLP status of its associated office in London, Caytons Law, which ceased as a practice on Saturday, 29 February with Caytons Law LLP trading as Caytons commencing as its successor practice on Sunday, 1 March.

To mark these changes both practices have undergone a full rebrand, including a new logo letterhead and website which can be visited at www.caytonslaw.com.

A message from the Irish Managing Partner, Ronan Cosgrove:

“As the Dublin office continues to grow, this rebrand is timely. Having recently moved to larger offices in Fitzwilliam Square, Caytons is adding further depth to its litigation team to bolster its caseload in high profile complex commercial court matters in addition to growing the business generally in the areas of insurance, construction and commercial litigation. We are excited by this growth and shall continue to leverage our unique technical expertise to achieve successful outcomes against the biggest firms working in the Dublin market.”

A message from the UK Senior Partner, John Cayton:

“This has been a very exciting year for us at Caytons!

Last month marked the 15th anniversary of our formation and we have certainly seen a lot of changes over those 15 years. We started as a sole partner law firm working out of serviced offices in Aldgate and have grown into a seven partner firm with an experienced claims management team, with offices in the heart of the London insurance market and an associated office in Dublin. We have also created our sister company, Caytons Cyber Limited, who have been successful in developing software solutions for insurers and brokers.

Not all of it has been easy, but we have managed to build a great team to help us navigate those challenges and want to continue to build on that by attracting the best in the business.

No organisation can grow without adapting to this ever-changing world, so with this in mind we have decided to use this milestone to convert the firm to an LLP and rebrand in the UK and in Ireland with an accompanying new website. We have simplified our trading name to Caytons, rather than Caytons Law. It was what everyone called us anyway!

Our slogan ‘Changing Perceptions’ is something which resonates with all of us at Caytons, as the thing that we feel most strongly about is changing people’s perceptions about what they think about smaller firms. It is so often the case that people equate size with ability, which can often be misleading. Yes, we are smaller than most of our competitors, but we have a great legal team who work well with each other and deliver great results.  We have handled our fair share of complex multi-party disputes and many people have commented that we are punching above our weight; however, I don’t think we are: we have always earned our place at the table and look forward to continuing to grow by building new partnerships.

A lot of work went into the rebrand and the new website, so if you have a moment, please take a look at our new website at www.caytonslaw.com and do let us know what you think.

I look forward to you joining us in the continuing evolution of what we have always believed in.

John”
