John Leathley

John is a solicitor with over 25 years’ experience of insurance and other commercial litigation, in both private practice and in-house, including working on complex large-scale litigation for company and Lloyds’ insurers.

Prior to joining Cayton & Co, John was Senior Claims Solicitor and Practice Manager for a leading professional indemnity underwriting agency. His experience includes managing claims handling and litigation under delegated authorities in a wide range of professions, drafting policy wording and dealing with FSA and other compliance issues.

John qualified as a Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute in 1999 and is also a member of the Society of Construction Law.
